So many of us often feel this way. Pushing ourselves through social or work related obligations can really take a toll on our nervous systems and our immune responses.
I don't know everything but I do know that deep in my cells, one of the most effective tools I have discovered is that I really need to slow everything down. I had no idea of all the places my nervous system had been undeveloped and how I would be hurled out of my sense of self when things got going too fast.
The more of our nervous system we have in tact, the better we will be able to hold ourselves steady in social situations that require more of us. Learning how to build new neural pathways is completely do-able because our brains are resilient and eagerly heal when we get support.
