So many of us suffer from deep shame. If we have support, we can break down the pieces that caused the shame in the first place.

We need someone to hold a bigger 'container' for us than the one that was in place when the incident's' occurred. Once we feel that with another person it helps us to do it on our own for ourselves. Learning how to resource ourselves is paramount to emotional independence.
