Online group workshop How does your family's history live in your life?

We are the conclusion of our ancestors stories once we have seen where unresolved trauma from our family's past still lives in our daily lives. Does that sound odd? It can be hard to imagine that trauma from the past can live in the present but it does. Painful experiences that have been held in by another human must be consciously felt to allow forward motion. Family's operate on love and that stands true even for the families where it doesn't look that way. You might say our families have a vibration that lives in an energetic grid and this is what we are born into. For example, if someone had to give her children up for adoption, her grandchild may not allow herself to conceive a child or might give his or her children up for adoption. This is how our family system keeps equilibrium. It doesn't seem rational but to the heart it makes complete sense. The grandchild is saying, "Grandmother, I won't let you carry this pain alone. I will suffer with you". Another example might be if someone was imprisoned for murder. Someone in a later generation might fall into addiction, thereby saying, "I won't let myself live a full life either. I will pay for the loss of life with my own."

That means that the prologue to our descendant's story can be dependant on how we resolve our history.

These dynamics are unconscious and it is suspected that they can begin working in us while we are still gestating.

On Monday, March 28, I will be offering an online group workshop where we will address how some of these kinds of double binds might be living in our lives. This is an experiential workshop where individuals will look at their family dynamics with the support of the group. Each participant is free to choose if they want to actively participate or watch and listen. Everyone plays an equal role in supporting, no matter how they choose to participate and everyone receives healing due to the nature of our energetic connections to each other..
