We can't give what we don't have.

We often find that as we heal ourselves, our children heal also. We are more able to access what wasn't available to us before and we all know that we can't give what we don't have.

If there was unresolved trauma in our parents lives as children, it will likely be passed down to one or more of their children. Many times the trauma hasn't been spoken of so it lives unnamed in the system and causes others great pain. Tragedies and painful experiences must be resolved for the family system to rest.

If you or your children are having difficulties in life, there may be something troubling your family system. Chronic health, employment problems, fertility problems and ongoing financial difficulties are a few of the challenges people can face when there wasn't enough support for the victims of tragedy.
